Paper flower: how to make it

Realizing paper flowers to decorate your home or surprise guests is within everyone's reach. A little patience, steps followed to the letter and voila!

The tools needed

• sheets of paper
• scissors
• a chenille or cure pipe
• a small piece of wood type skewer

The steps of making a paper flower

1. At first, arrange the sheets of paper of different colors on top of each other, taking care that none of them protrude on the sides. 
2. Then fold the leaves together with an accordion folding , in the width direction: once above, once below, and so on.
3. Once your accordion folding is done, pinch the middle of the leaves, and wrap around the caterpillar wire - or pipe cleaner - letting a piece go over the stem.
4. With a chisel, cut out the edges of your leaves to round them to bring the petal shapes to your paper flower .
5. Gently spread the leaves until you reach the desired volume for your flower.
6. Finally insert the wooden stem under the flower and wrap the chenille wire around to form the flower stalk.

Tip # 1: If you do not have caterpillar wire or pipe cleaner, you can replace this element with nylon thread or a piece of woolen thread.
Tip # 2: To get different paper flowers, simply vary the color, size and number of sheets of paper from the start. It is also possible to remove the step of the stem to be able to directly put the flower on a table.
