To make napkin paper flowers or tissues, first pour water into a bowl and add some pink food coloring. Mix and dip the first tissue in the colored water. Put the dyed handkerchief on newspaper to dry faster. Repeat with yellow dye. This step takes time but children should be sufficiently intrigued by the process to stay by your side.
Once dry, fold each piece of colored accordion and cut them into 2 equal parts.

Draw round petals at one end of the pink accordion handkerchief set. Draw pointed petals on the lot of yellowed tissues and cut with scissors. This step must be done by an adult.

Open the accordion petals and separate the tissue layers. Then take a yellow layer and crumple the end to make a stem start. Put some tape so that the crumpled end stays in place.

Wrap a layer of pink petal around the yellow flower and repeat with a second coat. Crumple the end and put tape as in the previous step to fix the 2 rows of petals together. That's how to make paper flowers in one gesture!

To make the stems, cut the rolls of toilet paper at different heights. Measure and cut pieces of green paper to cover each of the small rolls. Ask the children to stick the pieces of paper on the rollers: they will love having sticky fingers!

Put some glue on the edges of the stem and slide the flowers inside and allow to dry. That's it, now you have your paper flowers as easy to make as they have to decorate the house nicely!
